Artist Statement
I live to create. I can’t get enough of combining raw materials to make something useful, informative, emotional or even just aesthetically pleasing. It soothes my soul and makes my heart happy. I’m not picky about subject matter, but I’m drawn to nature and my works tend to revolve around environmentally conscious themes. I revel in the variety of colors, shapes, forms and intricate details of life. The printmaking process is one fits with the way I think. It allows me to not only experiment, but to create artwork that is accessible for everyone to own. To me, there is something so mysterious and satisfying about pressing an inked surface on paper and then revealing the created image by lifting the paper. I hope to spread joy and hope by making prints.
